Your Rights

No one can force you or coerce you into having an abortion! Even if the baby's father tells you, "I'll pay for an abortion but I won't pay child support," he is responsible for child support whether he realizes it or likes it or not.

Your boyfriend cannot force you to have an abortion.
Your husband cannot force you to have an abortion.
Your parents cannot force you to have an abortion.
Your employer cannot force you to have an abortion.

You have options. There are alternatives to abortion, and you have the right to explore those alternatives. It is your decision.

• You have the right to safe and accurate medical care.
  
• You have the right to continue working or stay in school.
  
• You have the right to child support from the child’s father.
  
• You have the right to not be forced to have an abortion.
